Orange Hot Chocolate Recipe

Love the taste of Terry's Chocolate orange? Love hot chocolate? Monin Curaçao Triple Sec Orange Hot Chocolate is the drink for you!

Also stunning in Lattes & Cocktails this syrup is specially designed to not curdle in milky drinks.

Recipe

This recipe is really simple to make if you have the right ingredients! Use the best quality high cocoa hot chocolate you can get, we recommend Zuma, Poldermill or Cafe Rico hot chocolate. It is not recommended to use a super market high-sugar / low-cocoa hot chocolate as it will likely be far to sweet, especially with the addition of the syrup.

Buy the Syrup here: https://www.caferico.co.uk/products/monin-curacao-triple-sec-syrup-x-70cl

Step 1: Use around 20-30g of hot chocolate. Mixing the powder with a little hot water and stir into a smooth paste.

Step 2: Add around 200-300ml warm or steamed milk, whole milk is preferable, you can used skimmed milk but it will not give the same luxurious texture. Stir into the paste until the liquid is smooth and there are no lumps.

Step 3: Add two 10ml shots of Monin Triple Sec Curacao Syrup - remember that other orange syrups with higher acidity will curdle the milk, that's why this syrup is so good for this type of drink.

Step 4: The trimmings! For the ultimate topping add lashings of whipped or spray cream on top, chocolate sprinkles and an garnish with a little orange rind.

That's it, enjoy!
